Didn’t the last Earth Day happen last month? I guess it was last year — Are all years going to pass this quickly from now on?
I grow old, I grow old. I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.
Anyway — The 2007 Earth Day on the Promenade in Santa Monica’s happening less than 2 months from now — on April 14 from 10 am – 7 pm, to be exact.
For my part, I’ll just show up on the day of. But I know many of you reading this work for companies or orgs in the greater LA area — and will be happy to know that the fees for the booths ($150-$1500) include carbon neutralization fees :) According to the exhibitor application form, “priority will be given to vendors with environmental themes or whose companies or organizations are carbon neutral.”
Even if you’re iffy on the whole carbon offset thing, if you’re a frequent reader here, you’ll be happy ’bout the priority for vendors with environmental themes thing.
Unfortunately, Earth Day on the Promenade appears to be web-challenged! The application form has no website, thought there is an email addy, earthdayla at yahoo.com, and a phone number, 888.295.8372. EarthDayLA.org has a badly-designed info page about the event, with a web link that goes to a kodakgallery page that provides pics from the last Earth Day but no info ’bout the actual 2007 event….
Let’s hope lotsa people just happen to be on Third Street Promenade on April 14.

I am sure you have noticed by now, but April 14th is 2 months from now. ;-)

I’m a month ahead! Just corrected it on the post — I guess the length of a year still feels like 2 months for me, not just 1 –

The key question, though is, do you dare to eat a peach? (only the English majors will get that one, I’m sure).

I felt like a nerd for identifying that (un-quoted) quote, but now I see that I’m not alone.

No — You’re definitely not alone here :)
