Eco-ganik’s eco-friendly Spring / Summer 2009 collection

Last night, Eco-Ganik unveiled its eco-friendly Spring / Summer 2009 collection at Smashbox Studios in Culver City. Summer — who features some Eco-Ganik fashions in her eco-boutique, BTC Elements — and I fought crazy traffic on the 10 (when will the Expo line be completed?!) but made it to Culver City in time to look over the program — printed on treefree lemon paper, no less! — before the models started strutting down the runway.

Eco-ganik — known among eco-fashionistas for its commitment to sustainable fabrics AND domestic production — showcased a line of very wearable eco-fashions — many with high waist and hemlines. My favorite pieces were the more structured tops, like the one on the leftmost model in the top photo.

Check out better photos of Eco-ganik’s collections here. In addition to BTC Elements, boutiques that carry Eco-ganik can be found via this store locator.
