Couldn’t afford EcoTuesday‘s $25 admission fee last year? Sign up to go this month, because the monthly sustainable business networking events have gotten a lot cheaper. For the first quarter of 2010, EcoTuesday events are free in celebration of the series’ third anniversary!
EcoTuesday events may be especially helpful for slightly shy would-be-networkers, because the networking’s more structured. In addition to casually mingling over cocktails, EcoTuesday attendees get to quickly introduce themselves and their project in an organized format. Each event also features a green business speaker to inspire and enlighten. EcoTuesday happens on the fourth Tuesday of each month in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley, and South East Michigan / Detroit — with new Dallas and Portland events starting in January, Berkeley and Cleveland in February.
RSVP for the next Los Angeles event, featuring Jen Boulden, co-founder of Ideal Bite — a site that used to send out daily emails with green lifestyle tips, but is currently closed down while its now-owner, Disney, decides what to do with it. Mingling begins on Tues., Jan. 26, from 7 pm – 9 pm at Wokcano Asian Restaurant & Lounge at 1413 5th St. in Santa Monica.

good to know they aren’t charging for a while; I liked these meetings but $25 is SO darn expensive for networking!

They’re free for good now, so long as you RSVP online in advance! That said, L.A.’s ecotuesdays have been on temporary hiatus — The organizer left and no one’s filled her shoes yet –
