Emerald City: Green clean week

Posted by Siel in emeraldcity (Thursday January 17, 2008 at 5:48 am)

Latest from Emerald City, my enviro-blog at LAtimes.com

This week’s green topic is green clean:

>> Delegate your green cleaning work. If green clean week here’s just making you feel guilty — because you never do that cleaning thing — maybe it’s time to throw in your dirty towel and get help. L.A. has not just one, but two green cleaning services to pick from!

>> Clorox gets a green cleaning line with the Sierra Club’s logo. Supermarket shoppers got a green addition in the cleaning products aisle this week. Yesterday, Clorox launched a green line of cleaning products called Green Works. And these products have the Sierra Club’s logo on them!

In other news:
>> Metro Gold Line: Should we extend it now?. Pasadena Weekly praises the Gold Line and wants the second phase — stretching the Gold Line from Sierra Madre Villa station to Azusa by the end of 2011 — to get funded and built already. Others disagree, of course.

And a linky post:

>> AM Greenlist: Plug-ins, Priuses and more fossil fuel fun.

  1. GreenLAGirl,

What do you think about these 50 Simple Tips for a Greener Life?

Do you think many small-scale, almost unconscious changes will amount to a difference on an international level?

Or, do you think it’ll take an overt overthrowing of the industrial complex?

    Curious to hear your thoughts.
