Latest from Emerald City, my enviro-blog at LAtimes.com
>> Best green holiday gifts I received. Green gifts I loved, to help you out with the the green b-day and other special occasion gift conundrums you have in 2008.
>> Greenest crotch in the blogosphere. How’s this for fame in the enviro-world: a shot of your crotch, cropped and framed for all to ogle on the popular eco-blog Treehugger. I ask because my friend Summer’s crotch graces the top right corner of Treehugger’s fashion+beauty page right now.
>> Rains didn’t end LA’s water shortage. I’m already rain-phobic, but after enduring days of clouds and watery skies, I’m super disappointed to find out that the recent rains didn’t do much to mitigate our water shortage issues.
>> My new campaign: She Should Share Her Eco-Project. So I’ve been noting lots of cool and curious eco-challenges happening in LA lately, from hardcore garbage collecting to uber-Xtracycling to extreme treecycling. And I noticed a curious trend: I’m only writing about boys!
And a couple linky posts:
>> Greenlist: Green contests. Win eco stuff.
>> Greenlist: Will mandatory recycling catch on? Non-recyclers in Westchester County in NY will get a yellow warning sticker. A second offense means a red sticker — and no trash pickup! Think we can get a similar program started in LA — or at least Santa Monica?
