Envirosax bags for the first 25 volunteers at Blogger Beach Cleanup

Envirosax bags

Update: Now, the first 50 volunteers will get either an Envirosax bag or a FilterforGood bottle. Get there early to get your pick!

Always wanted a cute reusable bag that would fold up into a compact, totable roll you could carry in your purse? Then be one of the first 25 volunteers to arrive at the Blogger Beach Cleanup on Oct. 24, and you’ll get a free Envirosax bag!

The plan’s to have volunteers use these easily washable bags at the cleanup itself. Of course, we’ll have disposable plastic bags on hand for the gross stuff — doggie doo, cigarette butts, condoms — but the Envirosax bags will be totally useful for the many sand toys, flip flops, and one-use food containers we often see at the beach. The idea’s to minimize plastic use at Blogger Beach Cleanup!

Post-event, the 25 volunteers who get the Envirosax bags will get to continue incorporating fashionable reuse into their daily lives. I actually carry around one of Envirosax’s totable reusable bags in my purse for easy access — and am happy that 25 more Angelenos will also get a toteable tote that’ll help them avoid the paper-or-platistic question altogether.

So sign up for the Blogger Beach Cleanup if you haven’t already — and come early to make sure you’re one of the lucky 25 who get the Envirosax bags! You can also buy Envirosax online. Individual bags range from $8.50 to $24.95, while a set of 5 costs $37.95. But some 5-bag sets are on sale for just $18.95!

  1. Ah! I love all these green events you’ve been blogging about! If only I was in Cali this month. This is such a great initiative and I hope tons of people come out. I’m going to forward the details to some of my friends in LA. Hope you don’t mind. Best of luck!
