Everyday Green: From eco-food to eco-investing on 11/9

Posted by Siel in environment, events, food, losangeles (Wednesday November 5, 2008 at 4:23 pm)

Not going to Opportunity Green this weekend? Then stop by the Natural History Museum of LA County this Sunday for Everyday Green, a whole day of events complete with a film screening and cooking demos!

When: November 9, 10 am -4 pm
Where: NHM, 900 Exposition Blvd., Los Angeles.
Cost: Free!

Part of the museum’s Sustainable Sundays series, Everyday Green features 3 main events: A screening of “Homegrown Revolution” — a documentary about the Path to Freedom urban homestead in Pasadena — at 11 am, a cooking demo and discussion on food ecology led by eco-chef Aaron French at 12:30 pm, and a forum with Jen Morris of Conservation International on eco-friendly investing around the world.

Throughout the day, advocates for farmers’ markets and homesteading will hang around the Museum’s Grand Foyer to chat with visitors. I’ll sadly miss it because I’ll be at Opportunity Green.
