I would suggest steering clear of this company. A friend and I signed up for one of their bike trips a few years ago. We paid for the trip and then discovered we wouldn't be allowed to bring our own tandem bike on the trip. We asked for our money back and Common Circle wouldn't refund it. We took our dispute to Visa, which found in our favor and refunded the full amount. This company's website says all the right things, but they obviously don't know how to treat people right; do some searching and you'll find other negative reviews from folks who have had the misfortune to sign up for their trips and events.

This company is not what it says it is. Friends went on their week long Oregon permaculture tour and their advertising misrepresented what they offer. The group was fed canned beans for most meals, fruit imported from Australia, and riders had to shlep their things because they only had 1 sag vehicle for 35 people and it didnt arrive before them some of the time. Even though they stayed at some organic farms, the Common Circle organizer kept repeating that it was a budget tour and they werent going to buy the farm's produce. People were starving for fresh produce. No showers, but sometimes you could use a hose. Camping was allowed on the farms in exchange for work, like picking garlic and beans. Overall it was a bummer for most folks. Better ways to spend your money with nicer people - although the staff was nice, the organizer was a control freak.

Yeah -- I don't think I'd have the courage to put together a bike trip by myself, and so would love to be part of a group like this -- assuming everyone in the group's pretty chill....

This is a great idea. We love Hawaii, but bike-friendliness varies dramatically from island to island, based largely on road construction and trail networks.
