So since its Whole Trade program announcement, Whole Foods’ entire attitude towards fair trade certification’s changed, it seems. Over the weekend I dropped by the Santa Monica Whole Foods to see an entire special stand dedicated to fair trade certified products –
Most notably, you can now get Equal Exchange chocolates at Whole Foods –
And tomorrow, Tues. June 19, is “Community Day” at all California Whole Foods — 5% of the day’s net sales statewide are gonna go torward California coastal Cleanup Day, which’ll happen on Sept. 15, 2007.
