Friday freebies: A pair of PeopleTowels

Posted by Siel in freebies (Friday December 4, 2009 at 10:02 am)

A twice-weekly sharing of eco-shwag.

PeopleTowels

Today’s freebie’s a pair of PeopleTowels, organic cotton reusable lightweight towels you can use in public bathrooms in lieu of paper towels or hand dryers.

One lucky winner will get one each of the “For the Love of Earth” and “Save the Trees” designs. Read my full review of PeopleTowels to see if these reusables are for you. If they are, comment by Thursday to get into the drawing, which’ll happen Friday (more info on freebies here). US addresses only.

  1. These would be great for my office! Thanks!

  2. This are awesome! I would love to use these at work. We only have tiny paper towels in the bathrooms, and you have to use 2-3 in order to moderately dry your hands. What a waste! These would be fantastic to keep at my desk to take with me.

  5. I hope to see this as ubiquitous as the reusable shopping bag, coffee mug and sigg bottle. It is just a change in habits… easy once you do it.

  6. I almost considered ordering this when you posted about them the other day. I was a little put off by the price though, so winning them would be awesome!

Soon though, I’m going to have to start carrying a larger bag just to accommodate all the stuff I’m bring myself so I don’t have to use disposables. :-)

  18. I spent this morning analyzing the collected data from a bunch of fifth graders who did an experiment around this. They were curretly throwing away a lot of paper towels and set out to find out just how many and what the enviro costs are to this practice. When we talked about solutions this very idea came up and was made fun of at first. But after we talked about it it became more normalized and many kids were on board.
    the designs are really cute!
