Twice-weekly green giveaways.

Love light Nalgene bottles — but hate that those screw-top lids require two hands to open? Today’s giveaway will solve that reusable bottle conundrum for one green LA girl reader and a friend. Enter to win a pair of “On The Go” Tritan FilterForGood Nalgene bottles.
These 24-ounce, BPA-free reusable bottles have a fliptop lid you can open with one hand. The downside: The Tritan will leak if held upside down — so carry it right side up.
Comment by Thurs., Aug. 19 to get into the drawing, which’ll happen Fri., Aug. 20 (more info on freebies here). U.S. addresses only.

I love Nalgene! Both for personal and work use (I’m a grad student in horticulture and I use their products a lot in the lab). I’d love the bottles for me and my sister.

Filter for Good is a great program. I appreciate Brita encouraging re-usable bottle usage! I would love the bottles to share.

I love those bottles!! It’s so important to carry a reusable drinking container with you while on the go – I drink lots of water on the go every day & it would be wonderful to have such an awesome reusable bottle!! I’d give the 2nd one to my best friend! ;) Thnx for considering me.

I’d love those! I’ve gone almost a year without using a plastic bottle. This will help me (and others) keep it up!

I just heard about a grocery store on the East Coast that removed all still bottled water from the shelves. In their place is a sign and a TV monitor screening The Story of Bottled Water on infinite loop! Keep spreading the good word!

That’s such a brilliant idea! Sounds like it’s paying off too! Aside from the mass of comments, do you feel like the monetary income breaks even?

Still amazes me that people need convincing for using reusable bottles. I am on a mission to not buy a single disposable water bottle this year. Good so far – definitely helps to have some cool water bottles!
