A twice-weekly sharing of eco-shwag.
If we’ve learned anything from that Wall Street Journal article revealing that reusable bags aren’t actually eco-friendly unless they are — OMG — reused, it’s this: Perhaps we really need to pay attention to the eco-aspects of reusable bags.
Unfortunately, Metro made its Bike to Work week bags long before that WSJ article came out — and so its bags were made of some synthetic, plasticky material — in China.
Let’s hope they do better in 2009 — and call them out on it if they don’t. In the meantime, let’s not let this carbon-intensive bag go to waste!
Comment or email by Sunday to get into the drawing, which’ll happen Monday (more info on freebies here). US addresses only.

Our area has fantastic bike trails that are lined with trees. My husband reads on them frequently!
He could use this bag on his bike trail romps. Many thanks, Cindi
