Friday Freebies: Terra Madre: 1,600 Food Communities

Posted by Siel in freebies (Friday May 25, 2007 at 3:31 pm)

Today’s giveaway’s a copy of Terra Madre: 1,600 Slow Food Communities, which showcases 1,600 different food communities around the world, all committed to slow food principles, biodiversity, and organic agriculture.

Read my review here; if you’d like the book, comment or email by Sunday to get in the drawing, which’ll happen Monday.

  2. Slow food, community by community, can change our relationship to each other, and to the environment.

Perhaps, here, we can organize more around farmers markets and develop our own slow food villages within Los Angeles.

  7. jenn — whose email begins with “ilovereina” — is the lucky winner. Somewhat oddly, I had 3 Jenns — all with 2 n’s at the end — enter this drawing. Thanks to the other Jenns and the other readers for their interest and for reading –
