Get CHEAP organic starter plants for your garden today and tomorrow

Posted by Siel in garden (Friday May 15, 2009 at 5:52 pm)

Thanks to all the frenzied activity around 100 Garden Challenge, I just bought 13 cute organic seedlings — lettuce, chard, and basil — for just $5!

Cost: $2 each for the six-packs, a buck for the basil. Want a similar deal? Stop by today until 7 pm or tomorrow, May 16, from 8 am – 10 am at 1923 Euclid St. in Santa Monica. There are heirloom tomatoes, pac choi, and all sorts of other cute lil plants. Take cash!

  2. S,

Not bad $. But we’re giving away 50,000 free basil, tomato, sage and marigold seedlings to teachers tomorrow at Venice HS. It’s the LAUSD school garden resource fair. Tomatoes, it seems, don’t have a clue as to what a recession is.

  3. That is indeed a great deal for teachers! How did the sale go?
