Think fair trade chocolate’s expensive? Well, okay — Maybe sometimes it is. But when the choco-holidays roll around, the fair trade deals do too! This Valentine’s Day, take advantage of some yummy fair trade choco deals you should be taking advantage of. Links to get you started:

A Greater Gift’s Valentines Gift Box. 4 bars of Divine Chocolate (two dark mint, one hazelnut milk, and one white) — all in a handmade paper heart box from Nepal. Just $18!

Global Exchange’s Fair Trade Valentine’s Day Action Kit. A heart-box of individual chocolates (pick milk or dark), an Amore/Love Papel Picado banner, an I Love Fair Trade Iron On, and 30 valentines, all in a red, recycled Kraft handled bag. Just $15!

Theo Chocolate. Not as cheap, but more gourmet. If you’re giving chocos as gifts, this is the yummy way to go. I really like the Coconut Curry Milk Chocolate, but the Aphrodisiac Confection Collection, an 18-piece set, might make a better gift. Cost: $40.00

CocoaVino. If you wanna go gourmet, spring for the Olive Oil Bonbons — Hazelnut & Sea Salt. CocoaVino says all their chocos are organic and fair trade certified. They look gorgeous too. Box of 12 bonbons: $35. (via Luxist)

Don’t have time to order online? Hit your nearest Whole Foods for Equal Exchange or Green & Black’s fair trade chocolate!

And even better — Fair trade certified flowers flowers are now on the U.S. market too. Have an entire fair trade Valentine’s Day! Order online at 1-800 FLOWERS — or, if there’s one near you, try New Seasons Market, Giant Food Stores, and Ukrop’s.

If nibbling on chocos and sniffing flowers isn’t enough fair trade action for you, then become a fair trade Valentine’s Day activist! Here are some easy and inspiring tips to get you started. Regardless — Happy chocolate day –
