We’ve got competing green-themed film festivals in LA this Saturday!
In addition to the Bicycle Film Festival, there’s a green day at the LA Film Festival on June 24, with screenings of Who Killed the Electric Car and An Inconvenient Truth. (via Treehugger)
There’s even a cell phone fundraiser that gives you a buck off admission for bringing in an old celly for recycling.
Sad I’m missing all the green film fun — Hope some of you can make it and report back –
Update, 6/27/06: The free screening of An Inconvenient Truth apparently drew a huge crowd — “what was almost certainly the most crowded Grand Performances in the program’s twenty year history” according to blogdowntown.

I’ve got tickets to “Who Killed The Electric Car”…can’t wait…I will report back with a review!

Since we are talking fuel and conservation realities… here is an eye opener on the prices of the stuff around our dear ol’ USA…

Had SUCH a great time at the screening on Saturday…what an awesome group of people turned out for the LA Film Fest’s “Green Day”! The movie was really enjoyable and quite well made (although not as utterly brilliant as AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, together they would make one hell of a double bill). I know y’all are going to go see it. My challenge to you is this: get one other person – NOT a greenie – to see it as well. I’m working on my parents even as we speak!!!
