So you thought you challenged hard and good, but you weren’t one of the 3 winners of yummy fair trade stuff from the Starbucks Challenge. Well, while you wait for 3.0 to kick off, you might embrace your inner gambler and consider these fair trade raffles and drawings –
Win a rug from Rugmark! This is no ordinary rug — It’s made by a Tibetan Buddhist weaver, Lobsang Tenzing, whose family fled the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1949. Gambling cost: Raffle tix are $10 each or 11 for $100 — Proceeds benefit Rugmark’s work to stop the exploitation of children in South Asia’s handmade rug industry and offer educational opportunities to former child workers.
Don’t have the space for rugs? Go for coffee, and stay alert all year with a whole year’s supply of fair trade, organic coffee and/or tea, courtesy of Pura Vida. How? Donate to Grist, a cute lil eco-zine offering environmental indulgences to offset your green guilt this season. Gambling cost: $25 or more gets you into the coffee drawing. Or if you’re one of those weird people who don’t caffeinate, you have your pick of an Xtracycle, carry-all bag, Newman’s food, or brainy books.
Good luck — And let me know if you win something — I’ll be green with envy –

Siel,
Glad to see you are working with Pura Vida! Their coffee comes from Cooperative Coffees, the Coop from which Cafe Evoke’s house blend will come from!
Nice work with all the challenges..
Be bold..
