AltCarExpo updates will come soon, but I’ve got a much more pressing problem — My Townie got a flat!

I discovered it this morning as I was rolling said Townie out the gate to bike over to AltCarExpo. Luckily, the Big Blue Bus 2 goes right to the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, so 20 minutes later, I was dropped off on time at my destination.
But the tire remains flat. And being the procrastinator I am, I don’t know how to unflatten it! If only I’d gone to Bikerowave’s Fix-A-Flat clinic earlier this month!
Bikerowave actually had a table at AltCarExpo, and Rich, the volunteer, said that if I hauled my bike back down there via bus, I could get help fixing it — but I know AltCarExpo is gonna be packed and stressful tomorrow.
So I’m hoping I can bribe someone in the ‘hood into coming over and teaching me how to fix the flat. [Update: Reader and neighbor Adam's offered to help -- I should be biking again by tomorrow afternoon! Thanks to all who generously offered their fix-it expertise.] What you’ll get for your help: An almost-full bottle of Lucky Earth Waterless Bike Wash to get your bike squeaky clean, plus a new microfiber cloth to use said wash with.
The Bike Wash is actually brand new right now, but I need to review the wash — so maybe post flat-fixing we can both spiff up our respective bikes — I’ll work in your thoughts into my review — then you can take home the rest of the wash plus a towel (I got 2, so that’d be all yours).
I’m trying to make this proposition sound more like fun and less like work, but not doing a v. good job. Still, help green LA girl! Comment or email greenlagirl@gmail.com if you’ve got a lil time to get a fellow biker back on the road this weekend –

Do you want to replace the tube or patch it? It’s really not that difficult, although being the rear tire, it will get a bit messy courtesy of the chain. It doesn’t take a lot of fancy tools or effort. I’d be happy to help, although I’m not too interested in schwag.
