Pick up the July 2008 issue of KoreAm Journal and you’ll see me on page 30, riding my bike helmetlessly –
The short Q&A about eco-living in LA and writing a green blog quotes me saying helpful things like “I keep learning more. There’s always new information out there.” Brilliant!
More seriously, I think the best bit of advice I give is to get out of the house and go to public places with if the summer gets too hot. Stay cool, make friends –
Thanks to the KoreAm people for including me. I don’t subscribe, but flipping through this one issue made me realize that there are many Korean-American subcultures — with its own heroes and celebrities — that I’m completely oblivious to. Who is this Penn fellow on the cover, for ex? WTF is UFC?
I did discover my new fave card company though: Chopsticks, Please. To the left’s my fave –
Inside: But I’m not your geisha bitch!
Totally thinking about buying a few, despite the fact the cards don’t seem to have any recycled content.
I’m also just not sure what occasion I would actually use said card for…. Ideas?
Update, 9/4/08: Here’s the web version of the KoreAm article.

Ultimate Fighting Championship. It’s the organization for mixed martial arts, the sport where they beat each other senseless. I admit I find it rather entertaining…

That definitely looks like a birthday card to me. I love it.

I tried to go to the magazine’s website, but couldn’t find you on there. Maybe it’s coming soon?
Those cards look good for a dinner party that you have catered.

Cute pic of you! How funny that they have the helmet in the basket… in case of an emergency? Love the card too.

Brian — Sounds violent! Thanks for the info :)
yoel — I think most of that mag’s print only –
summer — I generally store the helmet in the basket when I’m not riding the bike….
Thanks for the kind words, everyone :)
