Hosted by Farmscape Gardens, the screening will be followed by brief presentations by individuals working to reform the food system in the Santa Monica area. >> Weigh in at the Regional Connector Transit Corridor Project community meetings — the Metro project to connect rail lines in the downtown area. This round of meetings will include “a presentation highlighting the features of the new fully underground build alternative, the benefits of the various alternatives studied and an updated schedule for completion and review of the Draft EIS/EIR” — a.k.a. the environmental impact report. The next meeting happens Tue., April 13 from noon to 6:30 pm to 8 pm at Lake Avenue Church, 393 N. Lake Ave., Pasadena, CA
. Can’t make that one? Two more meetings are coming up.

>> Catch a free screening of academy award-winning documentary The Cove, and hear special guest Crystal Galbraith from The Cove Organization speak. Presented by the Otis College of Art and Design’s Integrated Learning Program, the screening begins Thursday, April 15, 7 pm, at The Hopscotch Bar and Grill of The Custom Hotel, 8639 Lincoln, Los Angeles.

>> Catch a screening of No Impact Man, thanks to the Whole Foods’ Earth Months film series and challenge, “Let’s Retake Our Plates!” On Thurs., April 15, watch No Impact Man at 8:30 pm and at the Pasadena Community College, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. Cost: $5, with all proceeds going to KPCC radio.

>> Stop by the Found exhibit at ARENA 1 Gallery (PDF) at 3026 Airport Ave., Santa Monica — to see art work created from recycled materials found at salvage yards throughout Los Angeles county. Visit Wed. – Sat. from noon to 6 pm before the exhibit closes on April 24.

>> Sign up now to take a Green Living Workshop with Santa Monica nonprofit Sustainable Works. Workshop participants meet once a week for 6 weeks to learn all about shrinking your carbon footprint. The next round of classes begin next week; pick from Mon., Tues., or Wed. meetings. Cost: Free for Santa Monica residents, $50 for L.A. residents.
