>> Use Seventh Generation products? Chat with Seventh Generation’s CEO Jeffrey Hollender on Greenopolis on Thurs., April 2 at 10 am.

>> West Side Green Drinks happens tonight, Thurs. April 2, starting at 7 pm at Organic Panificio, 4211 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey. $5 suggested donation. I’m gonna try and make this one though I’m peeved I’ll have to drive.

>> Chat with Metro Chief Operating Officer Carolyn Flowers about bus operations on Fri., April 3 from noon – 1 pm.

>> Take a tour of water-wise native gardens in L.A. on Sat. April 4 and Sun., April 5, 10 am – 4 pm both days.

>> Tour the LA River via a car-caravan on Sun., April 5, 10 am – 4:30 pm, taking off from LA River Center & Gardens, 570 W. Ave 26, Los Angeles. Cost: $20 for Friends of the LA River members; $25 for everyone else — except kids under 18 and dogs, both of which you can drag along for free. RSVP’s required to Ramona at mail@folar.org or 323.223.0585. Earlier: Pictorial Ode to the LA River.

>> Compete in The Transit Race. The event’s a fundraiser for Transit People, a group that puts together field trips for inner-city school groups using public transit exclusively, will have 5 teams at different locations in L.A. competing to be the first get to a secret race destination, using only public transit. The fun starts at 10 am on Sun., Apr. 5 — sign up NOW to get deets on the location — and will end around 2:30 pm after a Kids’ Silly Talent Show, comedy smackdown, and a violin performance. $5 minimum donation.

>> And a big event to look forward to later this month: Cities and Climate Change: A Solutions Oriented Conference, hosted by the USC Center for Sustainable Cities, happening all day on Thurs., April 30 at the Davidson Conference Center, University of Southern California. General admission’s $15, so register now and put it in your calendar.
