>> Spring Forward: A Green Trunkshow — featuring eco-couture designer Linda Loudermilk’s fashions — entices your inner shopper with organic food and drinks, 20% off everything in the store, and a free gift for all purchases over $50. That happens Sat., April 18, 11 am – 6 pm at EM & Co, 7940 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles.

>> The Dervaes family of Path to Freedom will come to the westside for once, to give an Urban Homesteading Presentation, talking about their work and screening Homegrown Revolution, a newish documentary about their work. Be there on Mon., April 20 from 7 pm – 9 pm at the Santa Monica Public Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica. Cost: FREE.

>> Sign up for the next series of Green Living Workshops with Sustainable Works. The 6-week workshops meet once a week to cover many aspects of green living. Pick from Tuesday (starting April 21), Wednesday (starting April 22), or Sunday (starting April 26) classes, all offered in Santa Monica locations. Cost: $25 for Santa Monica residents; $50 L.A. residents.

>> The Cool Globes grand opening happens April 22, starting 11 am, at the Rose Garden at Exposition Park.

>> Bon Appetit Management Co.’s cafes — including the Getty restaurant — will be serving special low carbon diet lunchtime meals in celebration of Low Carbon Diet Day, also April 22.

>> Organic burger joint O!burger will host a panel called Mother Earth Day Lunch + Learn: What does it mean to our children? All attendees will get 15% off their organic meals. The event happens Wed., April 22 from 2 pm – 4 pm at O!burger, 8593 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood.

>> The Second Annual Wilshire Center Earth Day/Car Free Day will will feature musical and dance performances, fruit tree distributions, and a farmer’s market. Unfortunately, Wilshire won’t be closed to cars as it was last year. That happens Wed., April 22 from 11 am – 2 pm on the lawn at Wilshire Center, 3700 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles.

>> LA County National Conversation on Climate Action will have exhibits and workshops on all the existing county and regional green initiatives — plus work to engage the community “in an open dialogue about solutions.” That happens April 22, 7 am – 7 pm at the Metro Headquarters Building, 1 Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles. >> Los Angeles Green Drinks’ I Heart Earth event will celebrate Earth Day on Wed., April 22, from 7 pm – 10 pm at Pharmaka Gallery, 101 W. 5th St., Los Angeles. There’ll be drinks. Cost: $5.

>> The LA League of Conservation Voters have put together an LA City Attorney Runoff Election Debate featuring Carmen Trutanich and Jack Weiss, happening Wed., April 22 at 6:30 pm (doors open 5:30 pm) at the Westside Jewish Community Center, 5870 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles. Cost: Free, but a $10 donation’s encouraged. RSVP to info@lalcv.org.

>> The first annual Green Dot Awards, a ceremony intended to “reward those who practice excellence in environmental responsibility,” will kick off with a cocktail party on April 22 at 7 pm at Smog Shoppe, 2651 S. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles. Cost: $40.
