This Sunday, May 28 from 10 am – noon, Bryant Terry, one of the authors of Grub and food justice activist, will be demonstrating recipies and signing books at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market (Ivar & Selma Ave between Hollywood and Sunset Blvd).

Grub: Ideas for an Urban Organic Kitchen, is a new book “that combines real tools to create a healty organic kitchen with education about organic food and sustainable agriculture,” with a foreword by Eric Schlosser, one of my heroes and author of Fast Food Nation.

What is Grub? “1. grub is healthy, local, sustainable food for all 2. grub is food that supports community, justice, and sustainability 3. grub should be universal”

Grub’s website has lots more details, and even a blog :) The event isn’t listed on either the Farmers Market or the Grub website, but I did call SEE-LA (which is behind the Hollywood Farmers Market) and verified that Grub will indeed be there this Sunday :)
