Thursday, Dec. 11: I’ll be at the Digital Family Reunion, so if you’ll be there too, say hello! No, the event’s not particularly green. DFR goes from 5 pm - 10 pm at the Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles. Tix’ll cost you $60.
Saturday, Dec. 13: EcoGift Festival 2008 happens all weekend, but instead of forking over $10 at the door, save up $30 to go to the Eco Gift Festival afterparty, put together by pretty much all the major green networking groups in LA: Sustainable Business Council, Green Business Networking, Eco Tuesday, LA Green Drinks, and of course, Eco Gift Festival itself. You MUST buy advance tickets online here — which include a weekend pass to the Expo itself — using this password: greencollar. Festivities — including a live DJ, appetizers, and organic beer and wine — start at 8 pm at Wokcano, 1413 Fifth St., Santa Monica.
Sunday, Dec. 14: Get your hands dirty at the Giving Garden, a new project under the Green Ambassdor program at Environmental Charter School. All are invited to level out and ready the garden while mingling with other green thumbs from 1 pm - 4 pm at the home of Guzel Gjenasaj1438 17th St., Santa Monica.
Also — Don’t forget about Unique Los Angeles, an indie-designer shopping event happening Sat., Dec. 13 - Sun., Dec. 14 at the California Market Center (Penthouse), 110 E. 9th St., Los Angeles. $5 gets you in.
