Things I think are self-explanatory — i.e. “comment to get into the drawing” — are not so to others. Thus, here’s a detailed explanation on how to enter the twice-weekly drawing for freebies.

To win a freebie, leave a comment on a post with a title beginning “Friday freebies” or “Wednesday freebies,” with your email typed in the box labeled email.

Common mistakes:

* Commenting not on the freebie post, but on a post linked to from the freebie post. For example, if you read a freebie post about a book, then click over to read a review I wrote about the book, DON’T leave the comment on that review post because you won’t be entered into the drawing. Instead, click back to the original freebie post and leave your comment there.

* Leaving the email field blank. This gives me no way to contact you if you win, so you won’t be entered into the drawing.

* Putting a snail mail address in the email field. Often, I need the winner’s phone number for the package delivery company — and I’m not going to send you a snail mail letter requesting your phone number. You must put in your email so I can contact you to arrange the package delivery.
