I love my Hero Bags. The recycled cotton is thicker and stronger than other canvas bags I've owned. I've washed my shopping bags a bunch of times and they hold up great!

This pre consumer "Recycled Cotton" is not something new. It has always been recycled into a cheaper yarn. This is not eco friendly as it is still genetically modified, water intensive and covered in pesticides. Only recently has it been pitched as such to take advantage of the "save the world by consuming more" fad. On top of everything it's still weak and wears out quickly even blended with the recycled pet. Just wash it one time and see. I wish people would investigate past the press release.
