Holiday fashions: Green and affordable

Posted by Siel in consumerism, fashion (Thursday December 18, 2008 at 8:23 pm)

I’ve talked about how the economy’s made eco-fashions totally affordable — but prices have gone down further since then! Through Green Gretchen, I’ve found out about amazing discounts at these three green e-boutiques:

At Equita, get 35 percent off at regularly-priced merchandise by using the code HOLIDAYTREAT. The Kamila Earrings (left), handcrafted by a fair trade women’s cooperative, costs just $24.70 after the discount.

Then stop by Fashion Ethic for 40% off orders with the code VIP40, valid through Dec. 21. This Organic Ruffle Boatneck (center) top’s yours for $48 after the discount.

Last but not least: At Under the Canopy, get 50% off all products with the code GIVEGREEN. This Lauren Jacket (right), made of organic cotton in Peru, will only cost you $49 after the discount.

The coupon codes are good for a whole bunch of other items too, so browse the eco-boutiques to find what you need this season.

  1. Actually the coupon code doesn’t apply to the earrings.
