Is it narcissistic to kick off my holiday posts with a wishlist pour moi? Peut-etre, mais c’est mon blog.

Thus: What I’d like to get these holidays — mostly stuff for my new apt :)

You know I’m a grad student — and I’ve got reading to do. You can gimme a double with these by ordering via the Abebooks link below, which’ll give me a kickback. Buy used! :) Top 5 books I want are:

307149683 c9ea6669a2 t Holidays: What I want for me* Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things. A book you can read in your bath, literally — cuz it’s waterproof.
* You Grow Girl: The Groundbreaking Book to Gardening. The title sez it all, and the blog’s a fun read too.
* Music and Suicide: Poems by Jeff Clark
* Ghost Girl by Amy Gerstler.
* Antonin Artaud: Selected Writings

  1. Hi Siel…

    Bamboo question:

    Do you know where I can buy bamboo baskets, preferably fair trade? Need a bunch for sprouting.

    Thanks,
    Larry

  3. Is the noun “blog” or “weblog” in the possessive masculine tense a la francaise? Good holiday picks regardless.

    Incidentally, as an atheist, how can this period leading up to Dec. 25 be modified as “holy?”

  4. I believe so. But la blogosphere is feminine, maybe?

    It’s not holy. It’s holi.
