As a native Vermonter, I LOVE Ben & Jerry's ice cream. But now that I live in L.A., I wonder if I should buy it at all, whether they use fair trade coffee in their coffee flavors or not. It has to be shipped across the country, in refrigerated trucks or planes. Shouldn't I buy locally produced ice cream?

Or maybe Ben & Jerry's makes ice cream at plants all over the country? I've got some research to do.

Thanks for your great blog!
