Three hours after this post goes up (I’m writing this on Thursday), I’ll be part of a “Transforming Transit” Symposium — basically, a panel — at AltCarExpo.

So take an early lunch break and come hear me and other alternative transportation fans talk about the future of mass transit. The panel doesn’t start until 11:15 am, but I’ll be around from 10 am on for the presentation and judging portion of Big Blue Bus’ Bus of the Future project.

The rest of the weekend promises to be entertaining too, with events for everyone from the wonky policy people (Discussion of Assembly Bill No. AB-32: California’s Initiatives for Reducing Climate Change/Greenhouse Gas Emissions) to those who wish they were living in Portland (PBS screening of Portland: A Sense of Place). The All Technology Debate on Saturday, which pits hydrogen fuel cell fanatics against electric car activists, may or may not lead to a smackdown –
