Love gourmet sustainable, local foods? Then you’re probably already a Slow Food LA member — for whom Edible Los Angeles, a new foodie magazine seems to’ve been created for.
Edible Los Angeles is designed for the eco-foodie. Here you can get reviews of new LA restaurants — featuring organic and local food menus — alongside sustainable cookbook reviews, 100-mile-diet adaptable recipes, and socio-political features, including one on the new Farm Bill and another on certified farmers markets. For those willing to roll up their sleeves, instructions on “How to Start a Raised Bed Garden” are available! For the drinkers, a feature each’s devoted to California wines and syrup-free cocktails.
Subscription costs $28, but free print copies of this inaugural issue have been available at Green Drinks — or online in PDF format.
Relatedly: Eco-chefs can get a free digital copy of Seafood Solutions: A Chef’s Guide to Sourcing Sustainable Seafood, a publication put together by the Chefs Collaborative. You must, however, first follow the link and fill out a form. Happy foodie reading –
