Car-free curious? Tomorrow will begin a new series a new series on green LA girl, dubbed Car Free Mondays. Each post will feature an interview with one intrepid car-free woman!

The series is an outgrowth of this Tuesday question, when I started looking for fellow female car-free bloggers. Why? I’m hoping to help demystify, destigmatize, and normalize the carfree lifestyle for women.

Many of you are car-free curious but too scared, as of yet, to step out of the vehicle. Others of you feel you’re the only one in the ‘hood who’s car free, and despite your own strong convictions and/or simple lack of need for a car, feel marginalized at times — and are looking for fellow de-car’d people to commisserate / bike with. Others just want to find tips and tricks for making the car-free lifestyle even easier and more enjoyable.
