Took my own advice and got myself a tree-free, Banana Paper journal from Harvest Collection from Whole Foods today.
So far, I’m loving the textured paper — made out of tropical fibers in Costa Rica under sustainable, fair trade guidelines.
Partly to celebrate my new journal, partly to get over the note on my door notifying me that rent’s going up by $75 a month, and partly because it was on sale for $6.99, I got a bottle of Green Bridge Petite Sirah — made with certified organic grapes grown in Central California.
Whole Foods does gift certificate giveaways on Twitter, BTW. So far, I’ve won nothing –
What did you have for lunch today?

Hi Siel – I met you at BlogHer at the “speed dating” session! I love your blog. I just started following Whole Foods on Twitter, fingers crossed I might win a gift certificate.
Sadly my lunch is very sad, sandwich, baby carrots and apple sauce. I’m low on groceries.

My lunch today consisted of a veggie wrap plus an entire pint of fresh blueberries, all from the farmers market. Heaven! Pure bliss!

That banana paper looks beautiful. Have you ever heard of Elephant Poo Paper? It’s also fabulous and totally eco-chic. Check out http://www.mrelliepooh.com/. I saw these guys at a Sustainable Living Show in Portland this past May. I was so inspired I used the texture for the background on my blog, Planet Pink n’ Green – http://www.planetpinkngreen.com.
