Men’s Reef organic jeans for under $50

Posted by Siel in fashion (Wednesday December 24, 2008 at 12:40 pm)

While eco-fashion boutiques are popping up all over the web, most of these focus on women’s fashions. That’s left many an environmentally-conscious man complaining about how hard it is to find eco-friendly clothes — especially fashionable ones.

So I’m starting a new fashion series, featuring men’s eco-fashions recommended by men who’ve tried them and liked them! Kicking off this series is ecopreneur Shea Gunther. His recommendation: Reef Heritage Organic Denim.

These Shea-tested jeans are made of eco-friendly organic cotton. The regular fit jeans have a classic five pocket design with a button closure and zip fly.

Best of all, you can get them for under $50! Dogfunk.com has these Reef Heritage Organic Denim pants for just $40.57 a pair, in either black or three-year fade. Zappos also carries these jeans for $55.80, with free shipping both ways in case you change your mind.

Are you a metrosexual enviro-man? Tell me what your fave eco-fashion item is, and why, to be featured in a future post: greenlagirl@gmail.com.

  1. Is there any LA shop locations with more eco men’s clothes? I’m pretty picky and have trouble finding pants that fit so I don’t trust the internet for clothes usually. One draw back to all my cycling is it is hard to find clothes that are slim enough for my body and waist but not constricting around leg muscles, especially the quads. One frustrated female track racing cyclist made some ladies jeans her self cut for cycling legs that she calls keirin cut after a type of track race that originated in Japan.
