I knew the day would come. After all, I’ve convinced like most of my friends to start blogs of their own in the last few years since I started blogging.
Cases in point: Both Summer and Hannah are stressing about redesigning their blogs right now. Anna has something like five (one two three four — I think there are more) at this point; the proliferation of Anna blogs will prolly go on hold for a bit, since she’s now on a boat trip — which also has its own blog. And that’s just girls on the westside I see on a relatively regular basis.
Now my sis has joined the blogosphere with yoelknits. Apparently, she does some hard core knitting when she’s not at the hospital fixing people’s brains. Check out these booties she made, right.
In comparison, mine seem a bit drab (left) — I go for functional, dammit.
However, I doubt her post about booties will ever be as popular as this one of mine, to which people seeking the other type of black booties constantly stumble on –
My sis never does anything half-ass. Not only does she invent her own patterns, she knits things few have ever knitted before. Latest project: A kangaroo.

Wow. She knits in the round with double-pointed wooden needles. I’ve realized I’m going to have to make friends with double points if I’m going to do plastic-free knitting, since round needles have plastic. Either that, or stick to flat things like blankets and scarves or round things that I can sew up with a seam.
Thinking of doing a post on plastic-free knitting this coming week or next, by the way. Thanks for sharing your sister’s blog. It’s great.
