Condo Blues -- Well, the vapor barrier you speak of doesn't seem like it's a one-use, disposable thing, so that seems like a better use of Tyvek, just as reusing those Netflix videos are a better use of Tyvek.

I try to reuse large evelopes whenever possible - I've been saving Tyvek and padded envelopes to pack picture frames during an upcoming move.

When I get the occasional Fed Ex envelope, I try to reuse it. I did't know they had a recycling program. The only other Tyvek I have is the vapour barrier on my house. It helps with the thermal envelope of the house, so I'm keeping it.

Ha, I didn't even know Tyvek was recyclable. I have always preferred more straightforwardly recyclable materials for shipping, like cardboard and paper. I use those when I have a choice in the matter.

Omg that's RIDICULOUS. I certainly never buy anything made out of tyvek (that I know of), nor use it other than Netflix.

I'd say this represents a nadir in the corporate greenwashing that's going on....
