If you eat as many fruits and veggies as I do, lugging produce home car-free can be a heavy task. That — plus an ad-barter deal — is why I get a weekly box of organic produce delivered from ParadiseO — and supplement it with farmers’ market buys through the week.
ParadiseO delivers a box of organic fruits and veggies right to your doorstep once a week — or biweekly if you so choose. In each box, you’ll find mostly Californian, mostly packaging-free, fruits and veggies — though items like green beans or blueberries will come in a bag or clam shell. Plus, since ParadiseO’s an L.A.-based company, the boxes get reused! Just set it out for pickup on the day of your next produce delivery.

For picky eaters or unadventurous cooks who’ve been flummoxed by strange veggies in CSA deliveries, ParadiseO’s an especially good alternative. The delivery service generally sticks to popular, crowd-pleaser fruits and veggies (think apples and zucchini, not nettles and dandelion greens) — and even lets you create a dislike list of produce you don’t want in your box. Expect occasional seasonal surprises though — like an organic pumpkin in the fall.
ParadiseO delivers to most parts of the greater Los Angeles area. A $30 box (pictured above) will get you 12-16 servings of seasonal produce; a more generous $40 box is also available. Find out what fruits and veggies are in this week’s delivery by visiting ParadiseO’s website — where you can opt for all-fruit or all-veggies boxes for the same prices too.

Hi there, quick question for you. When researching LA CSA I came across this post and thought I would give ParadiseO a shot. My first order is set to be delivered this Sunday, but I have reached out to them twice to confirm the delivery time and have been unable to reach them.
The phone goes right to voicemail and says mailbox full and no one is responding to my email.
Did you run into any problems? Have you heard of anyone who has?
