		<description>I don&#039;t think the styrofoam ban went into effect yet, but if it did, there are a ton of places still using it. I was at Cold Stone the other night with out of town guests and sure enough, everything was in styrofoam.  Ugh.</description>

		<description>Although it did generate a lot of publicity on the subject of recycling, the whole &quot;I&#039;m not a plastic bag&quot; thing was much more of a fashion statement than anything else.  Shops in the UK were actually placing these bags into plastic bags at the checkout - pointless.  People should focus more on reusing and recycling bags.</description>

		<description>California recently passed a law that requires plastic bags be imprinted with a recycling message, and that each store that uses them must take them back to be recycled.  Part of that law prevents a government entity from adding a charge, tax, fee or similar for use of plastic bags. (A store can do it voluntarily, of course.)    We CAN however, enact local BANS on plastic, and we can tax any store that does not have properly imprinted bags and a recycling center on premises.</description>
