Rainforest Action Network fundraiser

Posted by Siel in environment, losangeles (Wednesday April 26, 2006 at 9:10 pm)

Rainforest Action Network held a fundraiser last Thurs, April 20, in Santa Monica, at the Nomadic Museum that’s housing the Ashes and Snow exhibit.

I sorta wish I’d had one fewer margaritas before getting to the fundraiser itself, where wine flowed freely.

For the record, the margaritas were Anna‘s idea.

Some pics from and after the event:

Anna and Paul Scott, electric car dude; Anna and Greg Wendt.

And after the fundraiser, on the pier:

Fundraisers are fun –

  2. that was quite a fun evening. my headache the next day was well worth it.

we were so busy looking at the images, sipping wine, and chatting with each other that i really didn’t hear much of the talks at all…..will have to check out RAN website to see what i missed. besides, most of the benefit of these…benefits is wocializing/networking and merrymaking with other like minded peeps, activism can so often be a lonely pursuit…..

welcome (soon) to the westside siel!!! more fun nites awaiting us.

  3. Lisa! Sad I missed you :( Next time we’ll coordinate a lil better — I’d kinda like to swim with elephants too, except they kinda scare me, and I don’t really swim…

Thanks for letting me ride on the back of yr xtracycle, anna :)
