It’s happened, finally. Los Angeles now has its own fashion-forward eco-friendly fair trade boutique!

Granted, I wish it was closer to me. This new store, Regeneration, is in Eagle Rock. Still, right after the Fair Trade Fair on Sunday, I headed over there since I was already in the East Side.
And I wasn’t disappointed. We’re talking recycled, sustainable, organic, fair trade fashions and fair trade goods.
Seriously — It’s all the stuff you’ve read about, but haven’t been able to find locally — until now.
We’re talking Ecoist purses, Bamboosa tanks, bamboo tableware from Bambu, cute stuff from Sworn Virgins, and modulab recycled billboard purses.
Kelly, right, runs this place, accompanied by her dog, below, who wears a cute Ecolution hemp collar :)
The back room displays Kelly’s art work, as well as a nice collection of vintage clothes and household goods :)
To top it off, Regeneration‘s a member of One Percent for the Planet :)
So I got a pretty necklace, and pretty felted pilow, fairly made in Nepal.

Regeneration. 1649 Colorado Blvd. Eagle Rock. Los Angeles. 323.344.0430

I can’t wait to check it out! *BTW, it’s in Eagle Rock, not Echo Park…the 2 cities are kinda far apart from each other*
Also, if you’re in the neighborhood (since it’s quite a trek from Santa Monica), there’s a great wine place right down the street…the Colorado Wine Company. (http://www.cowineco.com/) They’re definitely worth checking out. Great prices on great wine. :) Fun tastings, too!
