The Santa Monica Police Department’s celebrating National Night Out by hosting a 1950s style block party with entertainment by The Wonderelles, kids activities, plus free food and prizes.
What: National Night Out, a nationwide event “to promote community and police partnerships and crime prevention”
When: Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 6 pm — 8 pm
Where: In front of the Public Safety Facility, 333 Olympic Dr.
Cost: Free! The first 500 to register at the event get free buttons, balloons and flashlights.
According to the SMPD website, “McGruff the Crime Dog, the SWAT Team, and K-9 and Mounted Units will be joined by the Santa Monica Fire Department to meet the community to celebrate the partnerships which make our city safe.”
