4602588740 b85c1f7cab Join me at Women of the Green Generations Anniversary Event 6/12

The $50 early registration fee will cover you for a delicious organic breakfast, lunch, and snacks, complimentary mini spa treatments from Green Bliss Eco Spa, eco-fashion and beauty demos, lots of networking with the 300+ green-minded women at the event, and keynotes and panels featuring speakers like founder of Zhena’s Gypsy Tea Zhena Muzyka, author of Gorgeously Green Sophie Uliano, one Skinny Bitch Kim Barnouin — and me!

When: Sat., June 12, 10 am – 6 pm.
Where: Evo-South, 1155 Grand St., Los Angeles
Cost: $50 online until June 7; $75 after June 7.

Starting at 2:30 pm, I’ll be moderating a panel called “Getting down to e-business” — about using social media for green businesses and causes — featuring:

>> Micki Krimmel, a web-famous local social media maven (currently with 12,013 twitter followers) and founder of NeighborGoods (reviewed here), a website / online network that lets neighbors socialize share what they own instead of buying new. Micki will talk about starting an online venture using social media networks. Tweet her @mickipedia.

>> Jamie Kiffel-Alcheh, Executive Editor of Vital Juice (reviewed here), a daily e-newsletter covering healthy green living in Los Angeles and other cities. Jamie will offer insights into what those on the content-production side of social media are looking for. Tweet her @vitaljuicela.

>> Jessica Lass, Senior Press Secretary at NRDC who blogs, tweets and Facebooks for the highly-esteemed nonprofit. Jessica will share her perspective on how to use social media for environmental good. Tweet her @jessicamlass.

>> Michele Orlando, owner of Pizza Fusion Hollywood, a new green restaurant that’s part of a bigger organic pizza franchise. Michele will speak from her experience engaging with local bloggers and other social media networks to develop a fan base for her restaurant — without waiting for the traditional media’s restaurant critics to take note. Tweet her @pizzafusionla.

>> Heather Gordon at The Rogers Group, a PR firm that often works with bloggers and in social media to represent Whole Foods, iGo, LivingHomes, Bosch, and many other green-minded clients. Heather will share what types of social media initiatives have worked for her green clients.

See the full lineup of speakers at Women of the Green Generation’s website, then register for the event. And remember to get to the LEED-certified Evo-South greenly! If you’re traveling from Santa Monica, watch the website to find out where to catch the big green algae fueled bus, provided by Rebecca Harrell Tickell and Josh Tickell, the producer and director of Fuel. All eco-travelers will get a free DVD of Fuel!
