Imee -- Your method sounds intriguing but I'm a bit confused -- Do you mean that you reuse bath water by storing it in a drum?

I never thought my method of showering is called a navy shower, lol. Another thing I like doing is storing bathwater in drums or in our tub (we also have a shower/tub combo, see) and use a dipper to pour water instead of using the shower. Saves money from the water and electric bill (bec.of our heater).

If you have a tub/shower combo, stop the drain in the tub and let the water accumulate while taking showers. After the shower, you have some grey water to use. Because my tub is next to the toilet, I simply pour two or three buckets of water from the tub for it to automatically flush. Its a simple and easy way to reuse your shower water, while reducing your toilet water usage.

If you want to reuse the water and still be able to flush normally, you can turn the toilet's valve off and manually fill the toilet's reservior.
