Swim Cafe, Chicago: Yummy paninis, fair trade coffee

Posted by Siel in caffeine, chicago, food (Friday July 27, 2007 at 8:11 am)

A summer panini never smelled so sweet — even with all the feta taken out due to lactose intolerance -

I sent my friend Anne to check out Swim Cafe way back when — but now that I’m in Chicago again, I had to check it out again.

Yes, they have 100% fair trade coffee from Just Coffee.

Yes, they support organic agriculture; the special was brunkow baked cheese with organic cherry tomatoes on wholegrain.

I got a lil coffee and a tri-color veggie panini — and a Time Out Chicago, to see what was up in the windy city.

And I took the 66 bus there and back from my friend Anne’s place. The transit system here rocks –

I love Chicago, except for all the SUVs parked on the streets –

  1. Just thinking maybe you needn’t worry about lactose in Feta as lactose comes from cow products and feta is made from sheep/goat milk. Enjoy your feta, baby!
