2927275656 428daebbfa m The Procrastinators guide to a green HalloweenHalloween’s just a week away — and if you’re like me, you haven’t planned anything yet — because you’re too busy planning for your birthday on All Saint’s Day! (my wishlist is here — tee hee!)

Whatever reason you procrastinated, here’s a roundup of fun green Halloweening advice from the blogosphere to get you in the Halloween spirit:

>> Get the eco-treats ready. I don’t actually plan on doing this because I never have any trick or treaters, but for those of you who do: Tiffany at NatureMomsBlog takes you through the greener candy options out there — plus tips on making your own treats. If you live in the LA-area, The Green Life has some great deals on organic candy (photo below).

>> Find or make a recycled Halloween costumes, with the help of this inspirational gallery of DIY costumes. I think my fave is the hamburger dress, though the project is not very procrastinator-friendly. I often dress as a witch — meaning I wear black, then put on a witch’s hat I’ve had for years (reuse!).

>> Work with what you’ve got first. That’s Stephanie at Eco Chick’s first tip in her list of 6 — especially good advice in this economic climate. Also, using what’s around lets you procrastinate your holiday shopping.
