Missed out on LA Fashion Week? Here’s your chance to get a look at eco-friendly fashion up close — and even meet the designer! You’re invited to a private reception for artist Marian Schoettle, aka mau, who makes “post industrial folk wear” out of Tyvek.

There will be champagne, shopping (Marian’s designs will be available) and a chance to talk with Marian herself.

There will be organic cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, plus gift bags for those who arrive early. I hope to get there by bike, but may have to Eurotaxi it if I can’t find a bike for my friend Alison, who’s visiting from Brooklyn –
