Tuesday questions: Bus Riders Union

Posted by Siel in questions (Tuesday October 10, 2006 at 10:38 am)

A series that runs every Tuesday, where I ask questions unrelated to the environment, fair trade, or local politics that I’ve been wondering about but haven’t been able to google the answers to. Any advice is appreciated.

Since I’ve been taking the bus more lately, I wanna see this film: Bus Riders Union.

It’s documentary by Haskell Wexler: “The film traces three years in the life of Los Angeles’ Bus Riders Union as it forges a powerful multiracial movement to fight transit racism, clean up LA’s lethal auto pollution and win billion-dollar victories for real mass transit for the masses.”

However, I’d rather not pay $30 to buy the film — Not just cuz I’m cheap, but cuz I’m not a fan of buying DVDs in general, cuz usually I only watch ‘em once.

I tried Netflix, but no luck :( Anyone have a copy, or know where I can borrow one?

  2. I’ll have to put in a request at the Santa Monica library — Maybe they’ll buy it for me :)
