Your turn to help me –
So you may’ve noticed green LA girl’s looking a lil different. All posts now have a lil bar of icons that link up with Digg, del.icio.us, Flickr, Facebook, etc. The envelope icon lets you email posts to a friend and has replaced the previous “Email this post” feature.
While the visible changes are small — at least so far — lotsa things’ve changed behind the scenes at green LA girl, thanks to WordPress guru Kim Woodbridge, author of (Anti) Social Development. While many people out there can help you build a website or create a logo, freelance WordPress experts, I’ve found, are rather tough to find.
But then Kim came along and since then, all sortsa stuff I’d wanted done on green LA girl for like years have started getting done! I successfully upgraded to WordPress 2.6 — Kim fixed all the problems that came up due to my inexpert attempts to “fix” my template in the past — and I got really, really important plug-ins installed — i.e. one that automatically emails me periodic backups of my site.
Many more changes are planned — but I was wondering: What are the bloggy changes you’d like to see as a green LA girl reader?
Give me your suggestions via comment, email, or in person at the Green Business Networking event tonight!
And if you need some help with WordPress yourself, contact Kim. Not only is Kim great at listening to and figuring out what you want from your blog — then turning those ideas into web reality — her rates are super-reasonable!

I’m so glad you asked. I would like to see your article headings link to the permalink of the article. For example, when I search for a particular post on your site, I come up with all the posts that fit the search criteria. But if I want the link for just one of those posts, the only way to get it is to click the Comments link of the post, and then the permalink to the post comes up. As opposed to Blogger blogs where usually clicking on the title of the post itself will bring up the permalink. Does this make sense? I’ve had two valiums tonight… am waiting for them to kick in so I can sleep… in the meantime, I’m trying to make sense in a fog.
Perhaps tomorrow, when the fog has cleared, I can explain better what I mean.
