Tuesday questions: E-woes

Posted by Siel in questions (Tuesday July 18, 2006 at 7:03 pm)

A series that runs every Tuesday, where I ask questions unrelated to the environment, fair trade, or local politics that I’ve been wondering about but haven’t been able to google the answers to. Any advice is appreciated.

Ok — For the 2nd time in the last week, my web host has been down for hours. Apparently, they’re “experiencing power problems.”

I signed up with a 1 year contract, which isn’t up till Dec. But I’m already looking for suggestions as to who I should switch to.

Preferably, I’d like to move to a green-powered host. Anyone tried any of them out? Any you’d recommend?

  1. I heard of http://www.thinkhost.com/ … I can’t remember the others, but check that one out.

  2. I take this dearth of commentary to mean that many of us green bloggers are not using green hosts! Should I lead the charge on this?
