Sounds like Jasmin's well-educated about this issue. If I recall correctly, you have allergies too. People with pre-existing conditions like allergies and/or asthma may be more affected by those nasty VOCs. They can trigger an allergic reaction or asthma attack on the spot. Even if that doesn't happen, breathing in those fumes while you paint and while the paint dries seems kind of ominous. How did you accidentaly splash–nevermind.

As paint dries, smog-producing pollutants are released. The VOCs are also bad for your health personally.
